Maxxi Clean offers you amidosulfonic acid in crystalline form (> 99.6% purity) which is characterized by its excellent limescale-dissolving properties. Even in low concentrations, this acid is extremely efficient and far superior to citric acid, making it an indispensable main ingredient in many descalers and descaling tablets.

Applications: This powerful acid is ideal for descaling a wide range of household and hot water appliances such as fully automatic coffee machines, irons, washing machines, dishwashers, boilers and more. Regular use not only helps extend the life of your appliances, but also significantly reduces their energy consumption.

Material compatibility: Maxxi Clean amidosulfonic acid is gentle on metals even at high temperatures. However, caution is advised with light and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper, especially in high concentrations.

Food safety: After descaling, the treated devices are immediately ready for use again after thorough rinsing with clean water and are safe for contact with food.

Yield: At a recommended application concentration of 3-5%, 1 kg of amidosulfonic acid yields around 20 to 30 liters of finished descaling solution, making it an extremely economical and versatile product. It is supplied in practical stand-up pouches with a zip lock that are easy to open, resealable and reusable. Available in pack sizes of 900 g, 4.5 kg and 25 kg.

Application recommendations:

  • General decalcification: For a solution with 10% active ingredient, mix 100 g of amidosulfonic acid with 900 ml of water. This mixture can dissolve about 50 g of calcium carbonate.
  • Household appliances: Recommended concentrations vary depending on the appliance:
    • Coffee machines/fully automatic coffee machines: 1.5-3%
    • Kettle: up to 5%
    • Hot water tank (boiler): up to 10%

Preparation and exposure time: Amidosulfonic acid dissolves at a water temperature of 20°C up to a concentration of 17.5%. Higher concentrations tend to crystallize, especially in cold water, while warm water improves solubility. The exposure time depends on several factors:

  • Concentration: Higher concentrations dissolve limescale faster.
  • Temperature: Warm water accelerates the reaction.
  • Amount and nature of limescale: Older or thicker deposits require more time.
  • Flow: Circulating solutions work faster than stagnant ones.

We recommend a contact time of 15 minutes to several hours, depending on the thickness of the deposits. If the amount of lime is unknown, start with a shorter contact time and lower concentration to determine the optimal effect.

Rinsing: After descaling, thorough rinsing with clean water is essential to completely remove all residues of the solution.
